In order to receive RCWS newsletters or invitations to our special events, you will be asked to submit personal information about yourself (name, e-mail, mailing address, etc). All persons that act on our behalf or otherwise have access to donor information are obligated to keep all such information confidential and to use the donor information only to provide the services we ask them to perform for you and us.

The information you provide to us is used to help us in our fundraising campaigns; processing and acknowledging your donations and responding to any of your information requests. We do not provide personal information to any third parties, except for the following:

  • Direct Donations - If your gift (over $500) is directed to a specific organization or project supported by RCWS, we provide the amount of your donation and your name to the recipient. If you do not wish this to occur, please indicate this in the pledge card.
  • Major Sponsors - RCWS may publicly recognize our major donors, who underwrite certain significant costs of our special events. If you prefer to remain anonymous, please indicate this when making your contribution.
  • Third Party Services - In order to maintain cost effectiveness and continue to provide a high level of donor service, some third parties (such as mailing houses) could assist RCWS in our work. These companies enter into confidentiality agreements and do not keep any donor information on file.
  • As required or permitted by law - RCWS may release personal information when it is reasonably necessary to comply with the law. We may also use or disclose your information as permitted by law to perform charge verifications, report or collect debts owed, fight fraud, or protect the legal rights of RCWS, our donees, our website, or its users.

With permission from or upon the request of donors and visitors to our website, we will use their contact information to send them information about our activities, newsletters, or other promotional materials. All such persons have the option to discontinue receiving future mailings from RCWS by contacting us by e-mail or mail at the relevant address listed below and indicating that they no longer wish to receive mailings from RCWS.
