A $10,000 grant will improve living conditions for 107 children with psychological disorders living at the Sludiansky Specialized Orphanage. 30 years since its last renovation, the Sludiansky Specialized Orphanage desperately needs upgraded facilities, furniture, and supplies.

The Belsko-Ustinsky orphanage runs a community in Fedkovo to provide assistance for foster families and a transition home for Belsko-Ustinsky graduates. A $7,000 grant will purchase a heating boiler for the house which will improve living conditions for the 10 children and their families.

The St. Nicolas School provides disadvantaged children with a moral and academic education; to date, all St. Nicolas School graduates have successfully passed entrance exams to different colleges. A $17,340 grant will provide all students with free lunches, better equip classrooms, and support 11 students in need of financial aid. Read more

The Tutaev Orthodox School educates 100 children, between the ages of 7 and 17, who primarily come from large families or family-type orphanages. The requested grant money will enhance school programs that focus on community service and the professional growth of their students.Read more

The Novomoskovsk Vocational Training School provides general education and professional career paths for 120 students (among them: 30 from orphanages, 21 from low-income families, and 58 from single-parent households). The requested grant money will improve the school’s professional programs and enrich the student’s academic experience with better classroom supplies and technology. Read more

The Krug Center aids over 100 learning-disabled children with rehabilitative, educational, and recreational programs developed by the Russian Academy of Science and the Moscow State Pedagogical University. The requested funds will support Krug’s summer camp that integrates rehabilitative treatment with acting and theater workshops, arts and crafts, and alternative education. Read more

This center, cited by the Russian Government as one of the best facilities of its kind, provides training, education and therapy to 190 disabled orphanage children and children of low income families. Its horse therapy program is noted for its successes in rehabilitating over 100 physically disabled children. Read more

The Krasnogorod Orphanage, "Agroschool", houses and cares for 206 orphans from ages 7 to 18. It specializes in providing marketable skills for its graduates in independent life. It has been granted $ 8,428 to replace its industrial washing machine, without which their professional washing classes could not continue. Read more

The Pushkin School provides truly excellent education for mostly low-income families and for some orphans. Since the government provides only teachers' salaries, the school was forced to raise funds for important special programs. Read more

In a time of social and financial crisis the rehabilitation center, "Nelishnie Deti", provides crucial psychological and pedagogical support for at-risk adoptive and foster families and those with disabled children — both in Moscow and in Beslan. Read more

An established and trusted Russian charity in Ryazan was funded for a program that assists 25 mentally and physically disabled children and their families in preparing for future independent life. Read more

The large, distant Pushkinogorod Orphanage is the only institution in the Pskov region that offers treatment to children who have been exposed to tuberculosis. It received help in building an inpatient facility to allow newcomers (usually from the streets) a place to live while adjusting to their new environment and receiving medical evaluation. Read more

This new shelter in the Yaroslavl Region supports 8 girls and provides an education that emphasizes the fine and performing arts. It has been granted $ 3,070 to supports its theater program. Read more

In 1999, Father Ilya founded the rehabilitation center, «Inspiration», which now provides important services to hundreds of disadvantaged children ages 6 months to 18 years and their families. RCWS provided them with $4,000, otherwise the center could be shut down. Read more

The Opochka Orphanage is large and needy, supporting over 150 children. It received a $ 10,800 grant to provide and install a playground set for the younger ones, who simply don't get enough exercise on their bare, empty field. Read more
