The San Francisco Branch of the RCWS was established in 1932. Each year since its founding, this branch of RCWS has been celebrating The Day of the Russian Child as their main fundraising function. This event not only gives the Russian community in California an opportunity to support the Society’s humanitarian causes, but also provides a chance for the children to gather, perform and celebrate Russian culture and traditions.

Recently, the RCWS San Francisco branch supported the following Russian schools in the United States:

- Burlingame All Russian Saints  School - $2,000 assistance in 2022 

- Saints Cyril and Methodius High School in San Francisco - $3,000 in 2022

- Burlingame Russian School - $2,000 in 2022

- Saints Cyril and Methodius High School - $3,000 in 2022

- Russian School of Holy Virgin Mary Cathedral in Los Angeles - $2,000 in 2023

- All Russian Saints School in Burlingame - $3,000 in 2023

- Saints Cyril and Methodius High School in San Francisco - $3,000 in 2023

The SF RCWS office is staffed entirely by volunteers.
